Meet Our Staff
At York Family Eyecare, we understand that every patient’s experience is a result of many factors, but especially how you are treated.
Dr. Pelletier’s kindness and rapport with his patients is echoed by his entire staff. He makes a point of hand-picking employees that are friendly, helpful, and eager to help you. The result is a top-notch team that has a reputation for outstanding care and service. We think you deserve it.
Here is Dr. Pelletier’s hardworking staff:
Janet, Patient Experience Manager & Certified Paraoptometric
Janet is a lifelong York resident, and has worked alongside Dr. Pelletier since 2004–an impressive tenure. Well-loved by our patients, she manages the office’s day-to-day operations to ensure that every patient experience is outstanding. Her ability to remember several thousand patients, and their individual needs, is amazing.
Janet is a “jackie” of all trades. She also acts as our insurance coordinator, provides screenings for patients, and can even adjust glasses!
When she’s not helping to run the practice, Janet writes lovely poetry, loves to bake her grandmother’s St. Louis coffee cake, and spends time with dogs and other animals.
Jennifer, Accounting Manager
Hailing from Fort Kent, Jennifer manages office bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and patient billing for York Family Eyecare. She and her husband were both YFE patients when Jennifer was originally hired in 2002.
With her years of experience, Jen knows the office inside and out, and is a helpful resource for staff and patients alike. She also helps out with patient reception, and works in our exam area performing visual field exams.
Jennifer and her family live in South Berwick. In her spare time, she knits beautifully, and is a “cool” and committed mom who loves to spend quality time with her two teenage daughters.
Beth, Technician & Certified Paraoptometric
Beth is a welcoming, knowledgeable, and familiar face at our front reception area. She also possesses a lot of back-office experience, and helps with pre-screenings, dilations, and visual field tests when the office is busy. Her organizational skills help keep the office running smoothly.
This stylish staffer lives in Portsmouth, and has three grown children. Entertaining family and friends is a priority for Beth, as is a fitness regimen and spending time on the beach. Traveling to new places is on her bucket list.

Michelle, Director of Marketing
A Boston-bred career marketing professional and longtime York resident, Michelle works both strategically and creatively to share YFE’s unique story.
Michelle’s experiences as a parent caregiver and advocate have made her passionate about the value of wellness and world-class healthcare.
Originally from Buffalo, Michelle and “her boys” live in a crooked 1770 home. She is an accomplished musician and writer.
Ashley, Technician & Certified Paraoptometric
Ashley assists our doctor in the back office so that he can spend more time with each patient during their visit. Her outgoing and personable ways make her a calming force, especially during screenings.
This York native likes challenging herself with brain teasers and puzzles in her spare time. Even her Australian Shepard dog is known for being a smart breed that makes up its own games. Ashley’s dream is to win big on Jeopardy. In the meantime, she’s aiming to read 100 books this year.
Ashley enjoys forging meaningful relationships with our patients by answering their questions and “going above and beyond” to help each one. Whenever you need a smile, check out her funky socks.
Tom, Technician & Certified Paraoptometric
Tom provides direct support to Dr. Pelletier in our screening and exam rooms, so that the doctor can be totally focused (pun intended) on every patient. A recent UNH graduate, Tom brings warmth and organizational skills that further enhance our patient experience.
Tom hails from Northwood, New Hampshire, and loves spending time on the NH lakes and in the White Mountains. He lives in a farmhouse and enjoys cooking and keeping several aquariums. Tom’s fish-keeping is especially impressive because he is also a cat-keeper.
Tom strives to build positive relationships during all parts of our patients’ visits. He is great with people, has a dry wit, and always finds the leaves.
Our receptionist Kathy brings attention to detail and medical receptionist savvy to our front-desk operations. She makes sure that our patients are always feeling welcomed, heard, and fully supported.
Kathy was born in Canada, and lived in Maine and Vermont before settling in Rye Beach, NH. She is a water baby who loves the Caribbean, and enjoys walking, reading and decorating in her spare time.
With extensive experience serving customers and patients during her career, Kathy’s flair and interpersonal skills are strong. The most rewarding part of her job, she says, is “helping patients to feel comfortable and treasured!”
